Navigating Tourium
For: Everyone Where to find it: Visible on every page
This article explains the main pieces of the Tourium interface so you always know where to click.
The sidebar
The sidebar runs down the left of every page and groups features by category. Click any item to jump to that section. Some items have a small arrow next to them — these expand to show sub-pages.
Your sidebar looks different depending on your account type, the add-ons your organisation has, and your own permissions.
Suppliers
- Supplier Tools — Rates & STOs, Incoming Rate Requests, Agent Lists, Media & Doc Hub, Manage Specials, and Properties & Services.
- Integrations — Tourplan, if your organisation uses it.
Agents
- Agent Tools — STO Contracts (Contracts and Analytics), Rates (Rate Requests and Shared Rates), Library, Partner Documents, and the Specials Feed.
- Rates Engine (with the Rates Engine add-on) — Supplier Rates (Upload Rate Sheet and My Rate Sheets), Pricing (Selling rules, Settings, Approvals and History), Rate Manager, and Properties & Services. See Rate Manager and Selling prices.
- Itinerary Builder (with the Itinerary Builder add-on) — My itineraries.
- Quotes (with the Quote to Book add-on) — Quotes, Bookings, Rate gaps, Pricing dashboard and Pricing reports. See Quote to Book and Pricing reports.
- CRM (with the CRM add-on, for seat holders) — Pipeline, Contacts, Agencies, Enquiries, and Settings → Pipeline settings. See CRM.
- Finance (with Quote to Book, for people with the Manage finance permission — no seat needed) — Payments and Recognition queue, plus three sub-menus:
- Payables — Supplier invoices, Supplier payments, Payment runs and Supplier statements. See Supplier payments.
- VAT — VAT report and Blended VAT.
- Settings — Accounting settings, Supplier tax defaults and Supplier payment defaults.
Everyone
- Platform — Touri Chat, Network, Messaging, and Support Requests.
If a feature isn't on your sidebar, either your account type doesn't have it, your organisation hasn't switched on the add-on it belongs to, you don't hold a seat for it, or your role doesn't include the permission it needs.
The dashboard link
Clicking the Tourium logo at the top of the sidebar takes you back to the dashboard from anywhere in the app.
The bottom of the sidebar
At the bottom of the sidebar you'll find:
- Your organisation name, which opens the organisation settings — Details, Brands (Your Brand for agents), Billing, Team and, for agents, Seats. See Organisation settings.
- Your avatar, which opens a personal menu with links to your profile, settings, and sign out.
If you manage multiple brands, you'll also see a brand switcher at the top of the sidebar — see Brand switching.
The top bar
The top bar runs along the top of every page and contains:
- Breadcrumbs showing where you are in the app.
- A notification bell on the right — click it to see recent alerts. A red dot means you have unread notifications. See Notifications.
- Your avatar on the right, with quick access to settings and sign out.
Unread indicators
Some sidebar items show a small red dot when there's something waiting for you:
- Messaging gets a red dot when you have unread messages.
- Notifications (the bell icon) shows a red dot when you have unread alerts.
On mobile
On a phone, the sidebar collapses and appears as a slide-over menu. Tap the menu icon at the top-left to open it.
Tips
- The sidebar remembers whether you last left it expanded or collapsed.
- The sidebar keeps its scroll position as you move between pages, so the item you just clicked stays in view.
- Settings for your personal account (profile, password, two-factor authentication, appearance) live under your avatar menu. Settings for your organisation (details, brands, billing, team) live under the organisation name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- If a feature disappears from your sidebar, your add-ons, seat or permissions may have changed. Check with your team admin.
