Properties & Services
For: Suppliers — part of the free supplier product, no module required. Agents who manage their own properties find the same editor under Rates Engine → Properties & Services. Where to find it: Sidebar → Supplier Tools → Properties & Services Who can use it: Team members with the Manage properties & services permission
Properties & Services is where you look after everything you sell once it's in Tourium: every property with its rates, and every service provider with its categories and services. Whatever you publish here is what your network sees — in shared rates, in quotes and in Touri's answers.
It shows the brand that's currently selected in your sidebar. If you manage several brands, check the brand switcher first — see Brand switching.
Your rate sheets feed this page: when you approve a rate sheet on the review screen, its properties and services end up here. Use this page to keep them up to date afterwards, or to add properties and services that never came from a rate sheet.
What it looks like
- A header with the property and service counts, a completeness percentage, Previous / Next buttons that jump between items with missing fields, Undo / Redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z), and a history button (View change history).
- The tree on the left — properties with their rates, and service providers with their categories and services. A search box and a Filters button (Needs attention, Has rates / No rates, Country, Region, Category, Provider type) help you find things in a long list. Search matches every word you type, in any order, and looks across a property and its rates together — so "family tent dry" can find a room by its name, meal plan, season or market.
- The edit form on the right for whatever you've selected — the same forms as the rate review screen.
If you have nothing yet, you'll see an empty screen with Add Property and Add Service Provider buttons.
Common tasks
Edit a property
- Click the property in the tree.
- Use the tabs — Overview, Rooms & Rates, Details, Location, Policies, Activities, Images (only if you also have the Manage shared library permission) and Rate sheet (only when a rate sheet is linked, so you can check a figure against the original).
- Make your changes. They're saved automatically as unpublished changes — see Publish your changes below.
On Details, set the property's Feature tags (Family friendly, Spa, Big Five, Malaria free, Adults only, Fly-in only and more). On Policies, fill in the children's Min Age and Max Age. Touri uses both to answer agents' questions, such as "which lodges are family friendly?" See Properties.
To add or correct where a property is, see Setting a property's location.
Edit a rate
Expand the property and click the rate. The rate form has the same tabs as on the review screen — details, inclusions, taxes, child rates, availability and activities. See Reviewing and editing rates.
Edit a service provider or service
Click the service provider for its Details, Location and Policies tabs, or expand it and click a service to edit that service and its price table. See Services.
Fill gaps from a website
Every property and service provider has a Fill the gaps from the website panel under its name. Paste the website, click Find data, and tick what you want to apply. See Filling gaps from a website.
Add something new
Use the add buttons in the tree — Add Property, Add Rate, Add Service Provider, Add Category and Add Service. New items are marked New in the tree until you publish.
Delete something
Use the delete button on the item's form and confirm. The item is marked Deletes on publish — it stays visible to your network until you publish, and you can still discard the deletion before then.
Publish your changes
Nothing you do here reaches your network straight away. Every edit, addition and deletion is saved as an unpublished change, and a banner across the top keeps count: You have 3 unpublished changes. "Your network only sees these changes once you publish them."
The banner has three buttons:
- Review changes — opens the Unpublished changes panel, showing exactly what will be published: for each property, rate or service, the Before and After of every field you changed. Click Discard this change on any item you don't want to send.
- Discard all — throws away every pending edit, addition and deletion and returns the editor to what's published. This can't be undone.
- Publish — opens Publish your changes. Tick Notify my network if you want agents with access to your rates to get an email summarising what changed, then click Publish changes.
Before publishing, Tourium checks two things:
- Required fields. If anything required is missing, a banner says how many fields must be filled in before you can publish; click Fix to go to the first one.
- Your plan's limits. If the new properties or services would take you over your plan, Tourium tells you before anything is published, and offers a way to contact sales.
If some changes fail to publish, the ones that went through are live and the failed ones are kept as unpublished changes so you can try again.
See what was published before
Click the history button in the header (View change history). The Changes panel shows what's about to be published and, under Published, everything published before — who published it, the version, a short summary, and the before-and-after of each change.
Tips
- Publish in sensible batches. Agents who get the Notify my network email see one summary per publish, so ten small publishes in a row are noisier than one.
- Use Review changes before every publish — it's the quickest way to catch an accidental edit.
- Use the Needs attention filter to work through incomplete items one by one.
