Brands
For: Everyone (experience differs by account type) Where to find it: Sidebar → your organisation name → Brands (agents: Your Brand)
A brand is how your business appears to the rest of Tourium. It has a public name, contact details, an address, your website, social channels and review profiles. Other organisations see your brand when they find you in the Network directory and when they receive rates, agreements or emails from you.
Agents vs suppliers
Brands work differently depending on your account type:
- Agents have one brand. Your agency is a single public identity, so the page is called Your Brand and shows one editable form. Agents also set the Document Branding — logo, colours and font — used on the quotes and documents you send to clients.
- Suppliers can have many brands. If your company runs several lodges under different names, you can create a separate brand for each one. Each brand appears as its own entry in the directory and has its own connections, rates, and agreements.
Common tasks (agents)
Edit your agency brand
- Open Your Brand and click to edit it.
- Update the details (see What's on a brand).
- Click Save Brand.
Changes apply immediately and are visible to everyone who looks at your brand in the directory.
Set your document branding
Below the brand form, Document Branding controls how your brand looks on the quotes and documents you send to clients:
- Logo — PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, up to 8 MB. Shown at the top of every quote. Without one, quotes show your brand name instead.
- Colours — Primary, Secondary and Accent. Leave a colour cleared to use the Tourium default.
- Display font.
A Preview shows roughly how the top of a quote will look. Click Save branding. If you use the Itinerary Builder, quotes use your itinerary template's logo and colours instead; what you set here is used if the Itinerary Builder is ever switched off.
Common tasks (suppliers)
Create a new brand
- Open Brands.
- Click Create Brand.
- Fill in the brand name and any other details you want to show.
- Click Save Brand.
Your new brand appears in your brand list and can be selected from the brand switcher at the top of the sidebar. See Brand switching.
Edit an existing brand
- Click the brand in the list.
- Update the details.
- Click Save Brand.
Delete a brand
- Click the delete icon on the brand.
- Confirm deletion.
The brand no longer appears in the directory. Existing connections and conversations with it are kept in history.
A brand with financial history can't be deleted. If bookings, invoices, payments, accounting settings or supplier finance profiles belong to the brand, Tourium refuses the deletion and tells you why — financial records are kept for the life of the business, so the brand they belong to is kept with them. There's no archive option for brands yet.
What's on a brand
Basic Information
- Brand Name (required) — how the brand appears everywhere on Tourium.
- Use company details for this brand — tick this to reuse your organisation's address instead of entering a separate one.
- Contact Email — how other organisations get in touch through your brand.
- Contact Number.
- Website — you can type it the way you'd say it, such as
www.example.com; Tourium adds thehttps://for you. The same applies to every web address on the form.
Brand Address (when the brand has its own address)
- Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, Postal Code and Country. All optional — including Country. When you do set a country, it's used for filtering in the directory.
Social Media & Web Presence
- Social Media Channels — your brand's profiles, so partners can connect with you.
- Review Profile URLs — links to your review pages. Choose the platform — TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, Trustpilot, Booking.com, Yelp or Other — and paste the link.
Organisation Memberships
- The travel organisations you belong to: ATTA, IATA, ABTA, Virtuoso, SATSA, ASATA and TATO.
Markets & Business Details (agents)
- Year Founded, Employee Count, African Countries Sold, Type of Markets and Target Markets.
Your first brand is your organisation's identity
Your oldest brand — the one you created first, usually in guided setup — also supplies your organisation's name, contact email, contact number and address. Editing that brand updates your organisation's details to match. See Organisation settings.
Its contact email matters: when Tourium sends an email for your organisation with no particular person behind it, replies go to that address.
How your brand appears in emails
Emails your organisation sends to other businesses and to your own clients — connection requests, rate shares, quotes, invoices and so on — lead with your brand's logo and colour rather than Tourium's. Tourium appears only as a small credit in the footer. If there's no logo, your brand name is shown instead.
Replies go to the person who sent the email, not to a shared inbox. The quote, invoice and booking send dialogs have a Reply-To field that opens on your own email address; change it if replies should go to someone else. Emails sent automatically, with nobody behind them, fall back to your organisation's contact email.
Tips
- Your brand name is public, so pick one that agents and suppliers will recognise.
- Keep the contact email on your first brand pointed at an inbox someone reads — it's your organisation's fallback reply address.
- Suppliers: think of each brand as a self-contained business. Properties, rates, and connections are scoped to the brand you're currently viewing, so you don't mix inventory across brands by accident.
