Services
For: Suppliers Where to find it: Sidebar → Supplier Tools → Properties & Services Who can use it: Team members with the Manage properties & services permission
A service in Tourium is something bookable that isn't a room — a guided tour, a transfer, a meal package, a spa treatment, a conference venue. Services sit alongside properties: you can have properties only, services only, or both.
Services are organised in three levels:
- Service provider — the company offering them (for example, your transfer operation).
- Category — a group of related services under that provider (for example, "Airport transfers").
- Service — the bookable item itself, with its price table.
They're managed on the Properties & Services page. Most arrive there automatically when you approve a rate sheet; you can also add them by hand. For how the page works as a whole — the tree, publishing, history — see Properties & Services.
Common tasks
Add services
- Go to Supplier Tools → Properties & Services.
- Click Add Service Provider, then use Add Category under it, and Add Service under the category.
- Fill in the forms described below.
- Click Publish in the banner at the top when you're ready for your network to see them.
Edit a service provider
Click the provider in the tree and use its tabs:
- Details — Provider Name, Provider Type, Currency, description, and the Valid From / Valid To dates of its rates.
- Location — where the provider is based: Base Location, country, region and the pin on the map.
- Policies — cancellation policies, terms and conditions, the children policy, and notes.
- Add images — photos for the provider. Only shown to team members who also have the Manage shared library permission.
Edit a service
Expand the provider and category, and click the service. Its Details tab holds the Service Name, Pricing model, Duration Code and the service's Rates (its price table). Services can have their own photos on the Add images tab.
Changes are saved automatically as unpublished changes and go live when you click Publish.
Fill gaps from the provider's website
Under the provider name, the Fill the gaps from the website panel reads the provider's website and suggests services, routes, vehicles, price tables, operating areas and policies. You choose what to apply, and a price table you apply is saved with the service when you publish. See Filling gaps from a website.
Delete a service, category or provider
Select it, use the delete button on its form, and confirm. It's marked Deletes on publish and disappears from your network when you next publish.
Service vs property
- A property is a place — rooms, an address, photos, check-in details.
- A service is an experience or offering — tours, transfers, activities.
Services don't belong to a property, so you can have services offered across several properties, or services that have nothing to do with any property at all. (Activities, park fees and meals that belong to one property are recorded on that property's Activities tab instead.)
Tips
- Build your cancellation policy with multiple rows instead of one long paragraph. Agents need to be able to skim it at a glance.
- Services, like properties, belong to the brand currently active in your sidebar. Make sure you're in the right brand before adding them — see Brand switching.
